Now we all know how much time we spend on Facebook. When Facebook introduced timeline, we saw Facebook was storing all our archives from a long time! Now here’s another shocker. Each and every search you do on Facebook is also stored. Yes! In your account each and every search is stored. Based on the results of your previous searches, you get the result for your current search.
For example, if a guy searches for Arsenal every time, the next time he types ‘A’ in the search box Arsenal will pop up first before other people and groups.To show you results relevant to your search, this data is stored. Big data is used to process your search results. Don’t worry, it is only visible to you!
Now you must be wondering where these search results are stored? Well you can find it in ‘Search’ under ‘More’ in Activity log.
The good thing is you can clear all your searches with a click! So lets see how to clear the Search history of your account!
- Go to activity log.
You can find it in your profile (not home), or in settings button! - On the left side, click on ‘More’.
- At the end you’ll find ‘Search’. Click on Search!
- Above all your search history, there will be a ‘Clear Search’ button.
Click on it if you want to clear all your searches. Facebook will warn you that you will lose your preferences after clearing the search result.
