In the earlier post, we saw how to hack Windows XP password with Ophcrack.
But suppose you don’t have time to download it or you want to hack your friend’s laptop and you’ll never get a chance to boot from that CD or you’re using Windows 7/8. Well then you can try one more method.
When you’re on the log in screen like here press ‘Ctrl + Alt + Delete‘.

Microsoft has given a backdoor ‘Administrator’ login for situations like these. When you forget your password, You’re the only user on the machine and You are locked out of your account.
If you’re having problems in this way, you can try pressing ‘F8’ key while the Windows is booting. Select the safe mode option and Select Administrator‘s account.
Press ‘F8’. Enter safe mode with command prompt.
Select Administrator account.
Once you’re done with this, the next step is to run some commands to hack your windows XP password.
Lets check this small procedure 🙂
- Enter username as Administrator. Leave the password blank.
In the normal log on screen, when you hit ‘Ctrl + Alt + Del’, you’ll see this screen.

- Go to start and click on run (or hit ‘Windows logo key + r’ . Windows logo key is situated between your Left ctrl and left Alt). Type ‘cmd’ in run.
Note : ‘Command Prompt’ or cmd should be run with Administrative privileges. If you’re a normal user, Go to
Start –> Accessories –> Command Prompt –> Right Click and Run as Administrator.Open cmd!
- Type net user
Net user will show all the users that are in the machine. Select the account of which you want to change password.Type ‘net user’
- Enter net user DIGIT *
net user [ USERNAME ] * is the command to reset password for a particular user.
This will not ask you for the old password. You’ll see ‘Enter new password’. Now just type the password. You won’t see any character or any symbols ‘*’. So type carefully and remember it.
Log off and try using your username.net user USERNAME *
