Installation Of Cloud Controller.
- Select you language.
- Select the Second Option ‘Install Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud.
- Choose language for installation process.
- Select your country,
- Select Keyboard Layout, either automatically or manually.
- Give your server a hostname.
- It will then tell, No Eucalyptus Cloud Controller was found.
It then asks you to enter the IP of Cloud Controller. Since we are setting it up now, leave it blank.
- Select the Installation mode. Select everything except Node Controller.
- Select your time zone.
- It will then ask you, how will you partition the disk? Choose the option you’re comfortable with.
- It will then warn you, that all data will be deleted.
- You’ll see a summary of the partitioning. It will ask ‘Write changes to Disks?’ that is, make it permanent? Select Yes.
- Installation will then start.
- Now enter name for Cloud Controller.
- Select a username. And note it down somewhere. The server edition doesn’t has a GUI, so you won’t see your username anywhere.
- Enter password.
- It will then ask you if you want to encrypt the home directory?
For security purposes select Yes.
- Configuration of apt.
- Managing updates. Select if you want to install updates or not.
- Enter the cluster name. And again remember it,
- Enter the range of IP addresses that Cloud Controller will allocate to other machines in the network. This is very useful if you are using DHCP in your network.
- Installation will then continue,
- Installing GRUB. It will ask do you want to install grub to master record. Select yes.
- Finishing Installation.
- Main screen.
