In this post, we will see how to install Eucalyptus Node Controller.
If you don’t know what Eucalyptus is please check this post.
- Select ‘Install Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud’
- Select your language.
This language will be used when the installation is complete and you’ll start using node controller.
- Select location.
- Select your keyboard layout.
- Enter host-name.
- Select Node controller.
If your Cloud Controller installation was completed successfully, It will automatically detect the Cloud Controller and cluster. Make sure your cloud controller is up and running.
Select ‘Node controller’ in this step. - Check time zone
- Disk partitioning.
- Select your harddisk.
- Check partitioning of harddisk.
- Installation process.
- Enter name of admin.
- Enter username and password. Remember this.
- Encrypt your home directory.
- Proxy connections
If you dont have proxy leave this blank. Else enter your proxy info in following form :
“http://[ [user] [:pass] @] host [ :port]/”
eg. “http://student:[email protected]:8080/” - Install Security Updates.
- Installation.
Wait for installation to finish. - Install Grub on MBR (Master Boot Record).
- Remove CD and restart.
- Login and check.
